Please ask about the student visa and student visa requirements in the German Embassy in your home country. Prior to submitting your visa application, you are required to prove adequate funds to cover your living expenses during your studies in Germany. Students are required to open a Student Blocked Bank Account in Germany and transfer at least 8,640 EUR to this account.

There is no tuition fees in the most of public German universities. However you need to participate in yearly contribution for up to euro 500. As a student you get subsidised travel, insurance and food.

In India, schooling is for 12 years while in Germany it is for 13 years. To meet with this gap you need to attend Studienkolleg. It is a prep college in Germany designed for international students who are willing to study in Germany but don’t meet the German education criteria.
